wow! last night blew me away. i had the incredible experience of having past members of my youth ministry who either worked with me or was in the youth ministry who shared how i had influenced their lives over the years. these are some things you hear people say of others when unfortunately it is too late – at their death.
i was privileged to hear these while i’m still alive – not that you hear anything when you die (lol). this will be one of those nights of my life that i will forever remember. it has affected me in so many ways. words cannot express the depth of my appreciation for the kind words that was shared by each one who spoke.
it was indeed an honor to have served in this capacity for the time i did, but most importantly to see the fruit of my ministry. it brought me back to a recent conference i went to in california with the urban youth workers institute entitled “leaving a legacy”. this is what i call a legacy. prayer: “god help me to preserve it! amen! ” wow! still processing …….
